High Efficiency High Temperature Fabrics
The aging of quarries and the addition of new crushing equipment has led to the appearance of submicron particles in cement, aggregate and asphalt dust streams. The typical Aramid felt used in pulse jet baghouses cannot generally handle particles below two microns regardless of fabric weight.
In response Summit has developed a series of fabrics for sub-micron dust streams. These are engineered for operation at 400°F and offer a continuum of higher efficiencies. Two offer the option of adding an acid resistant/ oleophobic finish (A/R) to retard acid degradation and blinding by unburned hydrocarbons.
